How Climate Change Affects Allergies and Respiratory Health: An Explanation
Global climate change is not just a phenomenon of rising earth temperatures or melting polar ice caps. For millions of people worldwide, this change is felt directly through their immune systems. Climate change also causes plant species migration. Plants that previously did not exist in a region can now grow due to warming temperatures, bringing new types of allergens to local populations whose immune systems have not yet adapted.
