How AMPI Golkar Assists Orphaned Children During Ramadhan

Jakarta – The central committee of Angkatan Muda Pembaharuan Indonesia (AMPI), the youth wing of Golkar party, held an event titled “Breaking-of-Fast Discussion on Youth and Breaking Fast Together” on Tuesday, 10 March 2026.

The activity formed part of a Ramadhan programme series initiated by AMPI’s central committee to strengthen social bonds and reinforce the role of young people in national life.

The event, held at Syajaratun Thayyibah Mosque located at Golkar party headquarters, was aimed at providing motivation and strategic guidance to young people active in youth organisations.

The programme saw the participation of AMPI central committee leadership, including Chairman Jerry Sambuaga, Secretary-General Robi Anugrah Marpaung, and Treasurer Kevin Tandra, alongside hundreds of orphaned children.

The hundreds of orphaned children showed considerable enthusiasm and excitement upon meeting the AMPI officials. “Thank you Brother Chairman AMPI Jerry Sambuaga for organising this breaking-of-fast event and thank you very much for the assistance provided to me and my friends. May AMPI prosper,” said one child named Arfan.

Also present were Golkar party Secretary-General M Sarmuji, Commission X Chairman of the House of Representatives Hetifah Sjaifudian, Golkar party Central Committee Chair Fahd Arafid, House of Representatives Member Ranny Fahd Arafiq, Golkar party Research and Development Chair Yddy Chrisnandi, and Sri Suparni Bahlil, wife of Golkar party Chairman Airlangga Hartarto, who joined via video call.

During the occasion, Golkar party Secretary-General M Sarmuji expressed appreciation to AMPI. “Thank you to AMPI under the leadership of Chairman Jerry Sambuaga for organising this breaking-of-fast gathering accompanied by social activities in the form of assistance to hundreds of orphaned children and support for Golkar Mosque. May this activity benefit our fellow citizens, particularly during this holy month of Ramadhan,” said Sarmuji.

Sri Suparni Bahlil, wife of Golkar party Chairman, also greeted the hundreds of orphaned children present at the breaking-of-fast event. The children showed great enthusiasm in greeting Ibu Ketum Sri Bahlil, who had a brief discussion with them via video call.
