How a Vendor Boss Marked Up Electric Motorcycle Prices for the Free Nutritious Meal Programme
The Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung) has named Andri Mulyono, Commissioner of PT Yasa Artha Trimanunggal (PT YAT), as a suspect in an alleged corruption case concerning the management of the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) programme. The Attorney General’s Office stated that Andri, acting as a vendor for electric motorcycle procurement for the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), engaged in price inflation or markups.
“AM performed price inflation or markups for every unit of the electric motorcycles,” said the Director of Investigation of the Special Crimes Division of the Attorney General’s Office, Syarief Sulaeman Nahdi, to journalists at the Attorney General’s Office in Jakarta on Friday (12/6/2026).
Syarief stated that the markup was allegedly carried out so that the price of the electric motorcycles would approach the budget ceiling prepared by the BGN. He mentioned that Andri is suspected of having manipulated the Estimated Self-Price (HPS) in coordination with the BGN.
“With the aim of approaching the available budget ceiling,” he said.
Syarief also noted that PT YAT allegedly failed to meet the requirements as a vendor for electric motorcycle procurement for the SPPG or MBG kitchens. The reason provided was that PT YAT does not yet possess active dealerships or workshops in Indonesia.
“PT YAT does not yet have active dealers or workshops and does not meet the requirements; the procurement process has not yet commenced,” he said.
Syarief confirmed that the budget for the electric motorcycle procurement by the BGN is approximately Rp 1.1 trillion. However, he has not yet detailed the price per unit or the exact value of the markup.
“The budget is correct, around Rp 1.1 trillion. As for the markup, we are currently calculating the exact amount. We can state that there is a markup because the formation of the Estimated Self-Price (HPS) was conducted unlawfully,” he said.
“We are calculating the exact figure. But we can certainly confirm that the prices are unreasonable,” he added.
AM has been charged as a suspect under Articles 603 and 604 of the Criminal Code. Andri has been detained.
The Attorney General’s Office previously named four individuals as suspects in the alleged corruption case regarding the management of the MBG programme. They are:
Former Head of BGN, Dadan Hindayana
Former Deputy Head of BGN, Sony Sonjaya
Former Deputy Head of BGN, Lodewyk Pusung
Asep Yusuf Somantri (AYS), an associate of Sony.
The Attorney General’s Office suspects irregularities in the management of the MBG programme, including alleged affiliations between the suspects and the foundations managing the SPPG, as well as suspected markups in the procurement of electric motorcycles, shoes, tablets, and televisions.
Sony has since applied for justice collaborator (JC) status. Sony mentioned 26 names within the investigation report (BAP).
