RIYADH — Saudi Arabia announced on Wednesday (14 October 2026) that an attack on a Saudi Aramco building had caused a “small fire” and debris after a Houthi missile was intercepted, Gulf News reported. The attack was also reported to have injured four people.

Saudi Arabia’s Civil Defence said the injured comprised two women, one man and one child. In addition to the Saudi Aramco building, 15 homes were damaged.

On Tuesday, a warning message stating that “Riyadh city is facing a hostile air attack” was sent to residents’ mobile phones as a loud explosion was heard.

That same day, the Saudi-led military coalition struck oil facilities in western Yemen in response to a deadly Houthi attack on an airport in Riyadh. Coalition spokesman Turki al-Maliki said the strikes in Sanaa and the provinces of Dhamar and Saada targeted oil facilities used to “support the Houthi war effort”.

A witness walking along a major road in Riyadh told AFP that he had “seen a projectile pass across the sky” above a shopping centre, leaving “a yellow trail in the sky followed by a trail of smoke. Then we heard an explosion”.
