Housingpreneur Batch 3 Officially Launched! Time to Realise Future Housing Innovations!

Jakarta (ANTARA) - An initial step towards strengthening the national housing ecosystem has commenced at the University of Indonesia (UI), Depok, with the launch of BTN Housingpreneur Batch 3, themed “Elevate Beyond Your Limit”. This programme serves as a platform for the younger generation, innovators, and developers to produce sustainable housing solutions, encompassing architectural design, construction technology, and financing models.

The inauguration brought together cross-sector perspectives from various leaders and experts. The Director of Network & Retail Funding at BTN, Rises Setiawan, emphasised that housing encompasses a vast ecosystem from design to financing, meaning that innovation must stem from real societal problems. This spirit of collaboration was warmly welcomed by the Secretary of UI, Prof. Dr. dr. Budi Wiweko, SpOG, who noted that the programme aligns with UI’s vision as an entrepreneurial university dedicated to providing concrete solutions. From a professional standpoint, the Vice Chairman II of the Indonesian Institute of Architects (IAI), Ar. Firman S. Herwanto, added the importance of architectural works that do not merely sell visual aesthetics but also consider the effectiveness of eco-friendly materials and the sustainability of a building’s life cycle.

The kick-off event at UI also featured a talk show themed “Gen Z Style Homes: From Healing Corners to Profit Opportunities”. This moment marks the beginning of a series of roadshows that will visit various campuses across Indonesia, including ITB Bandung, UNSRI Palembang, UNDIP Semarang, and Unud Bali.
