Housing Credit Programme Ceiling Raised to Rp 50 Trillion, Here Are the Requirements
Minister of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP) Maruarar Sirait has confirmed that the government is strengthening access to housing finance by increasing the ceiling for the Housing Programme Credit (KPP) in 2026 from Rp 36 trillion to Rp 50 trillion. “Because public enthusiasm is very high, this year’s housing programme credit ceiling has been increased from Rp 36 trillion to Rp 50 trillion. This shows the government is serious about expanding access to financing for the public and business actors,” said Maruarar Sirait, known as Ara, in a statement in Jakarta on Monday (6/7/2026). The policy was taken in response to the high level of public enthusiasm for the housing financing programme, while also strengthening the national housing sector ecosystem. Ara added that the government wants to provide easier, faster, and more affordable financing solutions so that the public no longer depends on high-interest informal financing. According to him, the various housing financing programmes are a tangible form of the state’s presence in helping people own decent housing, while also encouraging the growth of the national housing sector. The KPP is implemented based on Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Regulation (Permenko) Number 13 of 2025 and Minister of PKP Regulation Number 13 of 2025. KPP is a working capital credit/financing and/or investment credit/financing provided to micro, small, and medium enterprises in the form of individuals/persons or business entities in order to support the achievement of priority programmes in the housing sector.
