Housing Assistance Disbursement in North Aceh Awaits Data Validation
Banda Aceh — The spokesperson for North Aceh District Government, Muntasir Ramli, has stated that the disbursement of assistance for flood victims in the district is still awaiting verification and data validation processes.
“Currently we have progressed to the second stage, which involves the verification and validation of data previously proposed, then recapitulated by the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) and designated as aid recipients by the Regent and regional leadership forum (Forkopimda). The final stage is the disbursement of budgeted funds to each recipient’s bank account,” he said.
He noted that the flash flooding that struck the district affected 852 villages spread across 27 districts.
He further stated that all forms of assistance to be disbursed by the government adhere to a single database that has undergone verification, validation, matching, and public testing.
The assistance to be distributed, according to him, includes housing damage compensation in heavy, moderate, or light damage categories, housing occupancy assistance (BIH), socio-economic stimulus assistance (BSSE), temporary housing fund (DTH), and living allowance (Jadup).
“Once the verification and validation process by name and address is completed, assistance will be immediately disbursed and become a momentum for the recovery of North Aceh residents affected by the disaster, who have lost their homes and livelihoods,” said Muntasir.
He added that the North Aceh Regent hopes that affected residents are included in the database and no one is left behind, so that after receiving assistance they can rebuild their lives, recover, and move towards a better future than before.
