House's internal
House's internal
conflict harmful
From Kompas
The protracted conflict in the House of Representatives
between the Nationhood Coalition and the People's Coalition has
remained unresolved. This problem is doing considerable harm to
public interests because the House has been rendered
unproductive, with the tendency to manipulate democracy.
In this way, it can be perceived that the short-term interests
of legislators have taken precedence over the performance of
their obligations, which include lawmaking, state budget
assessment and policy implementation control.
Therefore, the internal conflict should be settled amicably
through consultation or through the regulations, so that House
members can work professionally by avoiding group egoism and
manipulation of democracy.
