House to develop four new regencies

JAKARTA: The House of Representatives agreed to use its
initiative right to make four bills on the formation of four new
regencies or mayoralties.

The North Sulawesi town of Mobagu will become a municipality
while West Pakpak in North Sumatra and Pahuato and Bone Bolango
in Gorontalo will be made new regencies.

The proposed bills have gained support from nine factions and
will be deliberated on by the government before they are passed
into law. --JP
