A plenary session of the House of Representatives (DPR) has ratified the One Indonesian Data Bill (RUU Satu Data Indonesia) as a DPR initiative proposal. All DPR factions agreed to the designation.

The ratification took place at the DPR building in the parliamentary complex in Senayan, Central Jakarta, on Tuesday (21/7/2026). DPR Speaker Puan Maharani chaired the plenary session, which was also attended by Deputy Speakers Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, Sari Yuliati, and Saan Mustopa.

Initially, each faction presented its views on the One Indonesian Data Bill in writing. Puan then sought approval for the bill to be designated as a DPR initiative proposal.

“It is time for us to ask whether the initiative bill proposed by the DPR’s Legislative Body concerning One Indonesian Data can be approved as a DPR initiative bill?” Puan asked.

“Agreed,” the council members responded.

Previously, the DPR’s Legislative Body (Baleg) held a decision-making plenary meeting on the One Indonesian Data Bill to designate it as a DPR initiative proposal. As a result, all factions agreed that the bill should be brought before the plenary session to be ratified as a DPR initiative proposal.

The plenary meeting was held in the Baleg’s meeting room in Senayan, Jakarta, on Wednesday (15/7). The meeting was chaired directly by the Head of the DPR’s Legislative Body, Bob Hasan.

At the outset, Bob invited all factions to present their views on the One Indonesian Data Bill. All factions agreed that the bill should be brought before the plenary session to be ratified as a DPR initiative bill.
