House of Representatives: Strengthening Cross-Ministry Roles Needed for People's Schools
Banjarbaru (ANTARA) - Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Cucun Ahmad Syamsurijal, believes there is a need to strengthen cross-ministry synergy in supporting the implementation of People’s Schools so that educational services can operate comprehensively and sustainably. “The involvement of various ministries is necessary to ensure that all aspects of education, from curriculum to student character building, are optimally and integrally fulfilled,” he said during a working visit to the Integrated People’s School (SRT) 9 Banjarbaru in Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan, on Wednesday. “The presence of other ministries is important, for example, those handling religious education to strengthen the moral and spiritual development of students in the dormitory-based school environment,” he stated. He emphasised that the House of Representatives is open to evaluating the management scheme of People’s Schools to prevent overlapping authorities between institutions that could hinder programme implementation. He encouraged the establishment of regular inter-ministry coordination forums to discuss and resolve various technical issues that arise in the field quickly and effectively. He stressed that a collaborative approach is the main key to ensuring the success of cross-sectoral programmes like People’s Schools. “This step is to improve the quality of educational services in People’s Schools and provide broad impacts for society,” said Cucun.
