House of Representatives Resumes Session, 293 Legislators Attend Plenary Meeting

The House of Representatives resumed its 15th session of the 2025-2026 parliamentary term with a plenary meeting. The reopening of parliament following the legislators’ recess was attended by 293 legislators.

The plenary session took place in the plenary chamber of the parliamentary complex in Senayan, Jakarta, on Tuesday, 10 March 2026. The opening plenary was chaired by House Speaker Puan Maharani.

“The attendance register at the opening of today’s DPR plenary meeting has been signed by 273 members, with 20 members on leave, bringing the total attendance to 293 out of 579 members from all factions represented in the House of Representatives,” Puan said in opening remarks.

Puan noted that the forum quorum had been met. The agenda for the 15th plenary session of the 2025-2026 term was to begin with the opening address by DPR Chairwoman Puan Maharani.

Also present were other House leaders including Deputy Chairs Saan Mustopa and Sari Yuliati. Puan stated that the session was open to the public.

“In the name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate, we, as the leadership of the House, hereby open the 15th plenary session of the House of Representatives for the 2025-2026 parliamentary term,” she said.
