She opened the session by announcing the official letters received by the House leadership. “Esteemed House session, I need to inform you that the House leadership has received letters from the President of the Republic of Indonesia, as follows: number R11 dated 11 March, regarding the bill on the procedures for implementing the death penalty, and number R12 dated 15 April, regarding the appointment of a government representative to discuss the bill on the protection of domestic workers,” Puan stated during the plenary session on Tuesday (21/4/2026). In addition to those from the President, the House also received various letters from the Regional Representative Council containing oversight results and recommendations on several policies. “In addition to the letters from the President, the House leadership has also received letters from the DPD RI number BG 00542A dated 7 November, 10 December, BG 580C dated 17 December regarding the submission of DPD RI oversight results, considerations, inputs, evaluations, monitoring reviews, and DPD RI recommendations,” she continued. On the same occasion, Puan also revealed a letter from the Supreme Audit Agency regarding the agenda of submitting audit results. “And a letter from the Chairman of the Supreme Audit Agency RI number 20 dated 9 March 2026 regarding a request for time to submit the summary of audit results along with the second semester audit report for 2025. These letters have been and will be followed up in accordance with the provisions of House of Representatives Regulation Number 1 of 2020 on rules of procedure and applicable mechanisms,” she said. That plenary session was also attended by various civil society organisations providing support for the discussion of the Domestic Workers Protection Bill (PPRT). Their presence was announced directly by the session chair before the main agenda began. “In this plenary session, on the balcony of the plenary meeting, several organisations are present on this occasion to support this plenary session. Thank you for your presence in supporting this plenary session in the decision-making for the PPRT Bill,” Puan remarked. After the opening, the House proceeded with the agenda by giving the floor to BPK Chairman Isma Yatun to present the Summary of Second Semester Audit Results for 2025.
