House of Representatives Receives 9,025 Public Complaints Throughout 2025-2026
The Speaker of the House of Representatives (DPR RI), Puan Maharani, stated that her institution received 9,025 public complaints during the period from 15 August 2025 to 13 August 2026.
According to Puan, all complaints have been forwarded to the parliamentary committees (AKD) for further action. This was announced during a plenary session at the Parliament Complex in Senayan, Central Jakarta, on Tuesday, 1 September 2026.
“The total number of public complaints reached 9,025, consisting of 7,055 complaints via letter, 2,011 via the website, and 139 via parliamentary committees,” said Puan. These written aspirations are part of the DPR’s oversight function throughout the 2025–2026 legislative year.
“All such aspirations have been forwarded to the parliamentary committees to be followed up through recommendations to the government,” she revealed.
In addition to receiving and addressing public aspirations, Puan noted that in exercising its oversight function, the DPR has formed 42 working committees and held 736 meetings. She stated that the DPR’s oversight efforts are directed towards strategic issues that directly impact public interests.
