House of Representatives Inspects Bulog Warehouse in Jakarta to Ensure Rice Stock is Secure Ahead of Eid al-Adha

Jakarta (ANTARA) - Habiburokhman, Chairman of Commission III of the DPR RI, inspected a Perum Bulog rice warehouse in Jakarta on Monday to ensure that rice stocks are in a secure condition ahead of Eid al-Adha 2026. He directly checked the storage warehouse conditions in the Kelapa Gading area, from inspecting stocks and rice quality to the processes of packaging rice into sacks. “This is important to ensure that our rice stocks are truly secure and sufficient. Rice self-sufficiency must be real, not just a claim,” said Habiburokhman. He emphasised that the role of Perum Bulog is very strategic in maintaining the stability of rice supply and prices in the community, especially as Eid al-Adha will be celebrated in the near future. In addition, he also stressed the importance of transparency in managing government rice reserves to maintain public trust. He committed to continuing supervision to ensure that all government policies in the food sector run optimally and on target. The visit, he said, is also a concrete step by the DPR RI in ensuring that the state is present in safeguarding the basic needs of the community, particularly the availability of national rice.
