House of Representatives Holds Plenary Session Today, 151 Members in Attendance

The DPR held its fifth plenary session of the first sitting period of the 2026-2027 term, with 151 members in attendance.

The session took place at the Nusantara II building of the MPR/DPR/DPD complex in Senayan, Central Jakarta, on Tuesday (8/9/2026). The plenary session was chaired by Deputy Speaker of the DPR RI, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad.

Other members of the DPR leadership in attendance were Deputy Speakers Sari Yuliati and Saan Mustopa. Dasco began by reading out the attendance record of DPR members.

“According to records from the Secretariat General of the DPR RI, the attendance list at the start of the plenary session has been signed by 151 members, with 140 having submitted leave of absence, out of 577 members of the DPR RI, and is attended by members from all factions represented in the DPR RI,” Dasco said.

“The quorum has therefore been reached, and with the words bismillahirrahmanirrahim, allow us as the House leadership to open the fifth plenary session of the DPR RI for the first sitting period of the 2026-2027 term on Tuesday, 8 September 2026, and we declare it open and open to the public,” he continued.

The agenda for today’s session was the report of Commission I of the DPR RI on the Approval of the Sale of State Property in the Form of One Unit of the Former KRI Ki Hajar Dewantara-364 Vessel, followed by a decision. Next, the views of the factions on the bill on Agrarian Reform, an initiative of the DPR’s Legislative Body, followed by a decision to designate it as a DPR initiative bill.

Then, the views of the factions on the bill on the Amendment to Law Number 11 of 2006 on the Government of Aceh, an initiative of the DPR’s Legislative Body, followed by a decision to designate it as a DPR initiative bill. Following that, the views of the factions on the bill on the Third Amendment to Law Number 32 of 2002 on Broadcasting, an initiative of Commission I of the DPR, followed by a decision to designate it as a DPR initiative bill.

Finally, the views of the factions on the bill on the Second Amendment to Law Number 23 of 2006 on Population Administration, an initiative of Commission II of the DPR, followed by a decision to designate it as a DPR initiative bill.
