House of Representatives holds coordination meeting on natural resource export governance with Danantara and ESDM
The House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia (DPR RI) held a meeting to coordinate new policies regarding the governance of natural resource (SDA) exports between the Danantara Investment Management Agency (BPI) and the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM).
The agenda, led by the Deputy Speaker of the DPR RI, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, was attended by the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Bahlil Lahadalia; the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Danantara, Donny Oskaria; the State Secretary, Prasetyo Hadi; and the Minister of Law, Supratman Andi Agtas.
“We have conducted lengthy discussions and coordination with the government since this morning,” said Dasco during a press conference at the parliamentary complex in Jakarta on Monday.
He stated that the coordination was aimed at finding ways to accelerate economic growth. Additionally, the meeting discussed regulations intended to expedite investment permits.
According to Dasco, there are several aspects regarding export governance, which will be managed by PT Danantara Sumberdaya Indonesia (DSI), that the government needs to clarify to the public, market players, and investors. Furthermore, the role of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources within this single-door export policy must be clearly understood by the community.
Meanwhile, State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi noted that Government Regulation Number 24 of 2026 concerning the Governance of Natural Resource Exports, which came into effect on 1 June 2026, is expected to ensure that export activities are monitored effectively by the state. He emphasised that the policy requires close and mutually supportive cooperation, inviting the public and all market participants to foster a competitive and open business climate for the national interest. “We continue to work hard to improve coordination to ensure our economy functions as expected,” added Prasetyo.
