House of Representatives calls for consistent oversight of online gambling

House of Representatives Speaker Puan Maharani has requested that oversight of online gambling practices be conducted consistently and sustainably. The statement was made in response to the revelation of a cross-border online gambling syndicate case in West Jakarta involving hundreds of foreign nationals. Puan assessed that anticipatory steps must be immediately reinforced to ensure Indonesia does not become a base for international online gambling networks. She also appreciated the performance of the National Police in uncovering the case.
