The Batam Concession Agency (BP Batam) has successfully captured legislative attention through progressive steps in digital transformation. Member of Commission VI of the DPR RI, Kawendra Lukistian, expressed high appreciation for the development of two leading innovations: Manajemen Talenta Batam (MANTAB) and the Batam Investment Dashboard. Both platforms are considered concrete solutions for accelerating employment absorption while improving the quality of investment services in Batam City. This appreciation was conveyed by Kawendra during a Hearing Meeting (RDP) of Commission VI of the DPR RI with BP Batam leadership at the DPR/MPR RI Building, Jakarta, on Wednesday (17/6/2026). “Through this innovation, we see the international world increasingly trusting the current leadership of BP Batam. Hopefully, steps like this can become an example and be followed by other institutions,” said Kawendra in the forum, which was also attended by Deputy Chairman of Commission VI DPR RI Andre Rosiade and Commission Member Sturman Panjaitan. Kawendra specifically highlighted MANTAB as a digital platform capable of accurately matching specific industry needs with job seekers’ competencies. With precise mapping, the gap between the availability of local labour and company requirements can be minimised. In addition to human resources, BP Batam is also strengthening the investment ecosystem through the Batam Investment Dashboard managed via Invest in Batam. This platform serves as a real-time control centre for monitoring investment realisation and licensing. Head of BP Batam, Amsakar Achmad, affirmed that digital transformation is a major strategy to strengthen Batam’s competitiveness on the international stage. “This dashboard can be monitored in real-time by leadership. If there are obstacles, the relevant parties are contacted immediately. Meanwhile, MANTAB is here to open wider job opportunities for the community,” explained Amsakar. In line with this, Deputy Head of BP Batam, Li Claudia Chandra, added that this innovation is a form of commitment to transparent and directly impactful services. She ensured that cross-unit collaboration will continue to be encouraged so that every investment barrier can be handled in a measured manner. Deputy for Investment and Concession of BP Batam, Fary Djemy Francis, as the pioneer of both systems, expressed gratitude for the DPR RI’s support. According to him, the appreciation serves as additional motivation for BP Batam to continue improving service governance in the future. The meeting became an important momentum for BP Batam to demonstrate that fundamental changes are being made to contribute more significantly to the national economy through the strengthening of the Rupiah via foreign and domestic investment flows.
