House member dies at 54

JAKARTA: Member of the House of Representatives (DPR) Tati
Sunarti Sumiarno, died on Sunday morning at Gatot Subroto
Hospital in Jakarta from a disease she had suffered for some
time.

Tati, 54, was a member of Commission VI overseeing industry,
manpower, mining and energy. Her body was taken to Bandung and
buried at the Sirna Raga public cemetery, Antara reported.

Tati was active in several organizations, including the one
supporting small-scale industry and handicrafts.

She is survived by her husband and two daughters. (sim)
