House Linked to Bupati LAZ Case Allegedly Used as Company Office
A house raided by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) in the Mavilla Rengganis housing estate in Bajur Village, Labuapi Sub-district, West Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), has turned out to be used as the office of a company. Local residents said they did not know exactly what kind of business was being run in the building.
“Someone lived here (the house raided by the KPK), a man,” said one resident who declined to be named on Friday (24/7/2026).
According to residents, the green-painted house numbered B93 was only occupied less than a year ago after being renovated. Since then, the building has more often functioned as an office.
“It was turned into a company. He supposedly has a business, but I don’t know what business it is,” the resident said.
When asked whether the company in question was PT Dyas Karya Konstruksi (DKK), the resident said they could not confirm it, as there was no company signboard installed at the location.
“It seems so. But I also don’t know for sure what company it is, because there’s no signboard,” they said.
The resident said the male occupant of the house was known to be reclusive and rarely interacted with neighbours. In fact, according to information they had received, he had also not reported to the local neighbourhood unit chairman.
“I heard he also didn’t report to the neighbourhood unit chairman,” the resident said.
The house was cordoned off with red-and-white tape belonging to the KPK. The resident learned that the KPK had sealed the house for several days. The sealing was only discovered to be connected to the arrest of suspended West Lombok Regent Lalu Ahmad Zaini by the KPK.
“The information is that it belongs to Regent LAZ. That’s what people have been saying,” the resident said.
The KPK continued its search of the house, whose owner could not be confirmed, until 13.50 Central Indonesia Time. Firman, chairman of Neighbourhood Unit II, witnessed the search taking place inside the house.
However, Firman declined to reveal what evidence was seized by the KPK team. “That’s their business,” he replied.
KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo confirmed that a team from the commission had carried out searches at several locations connected to the case ensnaring LAZ.
“Yes, that’s correct,” he told detikBali via a WhatsApp message.
The search of Ratnawi’s house is part of a series of investigations into the corruption case involving LAZ. Previously, KPK investigators had searched the West Lombok Regent’s Office since Thursday (23/7/2026), sealed two private cars at the regent’s official residence, and searched two private houses belonging to LAZ in Gunungsari Sub-district.
The KPK previously carried out a sting operation against LAZ at his official residence on Monday (20/7). Nineteen people were detained during the operation. However, KPK investigators ultimately named three suspects: LAZ, Sudirman, President Director of PT Air Minum Giri Menang (PT AMGM), and Alvonsus Gani, President Director of PT Meconel Sistim Instrument (PT MSI).
The KPK suspects that LAZ received bribes related to a number of projects in West Lombok and engaged in conflicts of interest in the procurement of goods and services. According to the case construction, LAZ allegedly instructed Lalu Ratnawi, Head of the West Lombok Public Works and Spatial Planning Office, to help Sudirman secure government projects.
Sudirman then allegedly used CV Dyas Karya Konstruksi (DKK) as a ‘pool bucket’ for projects by borrowing the names of several companies so that CV DKK would not be recorded as the winner. The KPK suspects that tender requirements were rigged so that the companies used by Sudirman would win projects worth Rp 17.9 billion through both tender and direct appointment.
Through the tender process, the projects included the 2025 rehabilitation of Gerung City Park worth Rp 2.3 billion and a second-phase rehabilitation in 2026 worth Rp 4.3 billion. These two projects also made Giri Menang City Park one of the works included in the KPK’s case construction.
