House in Pluit, North Jakarta Catches Fire, 22 Fire Engines Deployed

A residential house on Jalan Dermaga Ujung, Pluit, Penjaringan, North Jakarta, caught fire. Firefighting operations are still ongoing. “The object on fire is a residential house. The situation is still in the process of being extinguished,” said Gatot Sulaiman, Head of Operations at the North Jakarta Fire and Rescue Service, when contacted on Wednesday (26/8/2026). The fire was reported at 6.50 pm Western Indonesia Time. Firefighters were immediately dispatched to the location to carry out extinguishing efforts. “Deployment of 22 units and 132 personnel,” he said. The exact cause and impact of the fire are not yet known. Firefighters are still working to extinguish the blaze. “Cooling is underway, and the extinguishing process is being carried out by officers,” he added.
