A resident’s house in Cihideung Ilir Village, Ciampea District, Bogor, West Java, was damaged after being struck by strong winds. The damage occurred on the roof, which collapsed.

“Due to prolonged high-intensity rain accompanied by strong winds in the area, the house was impacted on its roof section,” said M Adam Hamdani, Head of Emergency and Logistics at the Bogor Regency Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), on Friday (10/7/2026).

BPBD officers carried out disaster management at the location yesterday. According to him, the house was occupied solely by a resident named Ucan.

“The affected victim is one heavily damaged housing unit under the name Ucan,” he explained.

Adam stated there were no fatalities or injuries in the incident. However, the occupant was forced to evacuate to a safer place.

“There were zero casualties; the victim is taking shelter at a relative’s house,” he revealed.

The dilapidated building structure was also a factor in the house’s destruction, rendering it unable to withstand the force of the incoming wind.

“The current final situation is that the house is no longer inhabited by its owner. Further handling is required from the relevant agencies,” he concluded.
