House Fire in Kemayoran, Central Jakarta: Fire Department Warns of Spread Risk

The Jakarta Fire and Disaster Management Agency (Gulkarmat) has warned of potential fire spread following a house fire in Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, on Monday evening (1/6/2026). The fire occurred on Kemayoran Gempol Street, RT 02/RW 05, Kebon Kosong Village, Kemayoran Subdistrict. ‘The spread of the fire is very possible,’ said Jakarta Gulkarmat Chief Bayu Meghantara in a written statement on Monday. ‘The building involved is a low-rise residential structure.’ Personnel from Kemayoran Sector III were immediately dispatched upon receiving the report, arriving at approximately 9:05 PM WIB. As of this report, firefighting efforts are ongoing. No information has been released regarding the cause of the fire, the number of affected homes, or any casualties. Authorities continue firefighting and containment efforts to prevent the fire from spreading.
