House Fire in Cengkareng Leaves Two Injured

A residential property caught fire, according to Achmad Saiful Kahfi, Head of the Jakarta Fire and Rescue (Gulkarmat) West Jakarta. The blaze was reported by residents to the fire service at 12:41 WIB. The house was located at Jalan Cengkareng Indah RT 5 RW 14, Kapuk Sub-district, Cengkareng, West Jakarta.

Ten fire engines and 50 personnel were deployed to the scene. Firefighting operations began at 12:51 WIB. The fire was brought under control around 14:06 WIB. Fire crews continued to cool the area, with the operation declared complete at 14:48 WIB.

‘Two people were burned’, said the Dinas Gulkarmat Jakarta Command Center. The cause and sequence of events are not yet known.
