House Deputy Speaker Confident Jakarta Police Can Solve Mysterious Death of Sutrimo

Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives’ Commission III, Ahmad Sahroni, has backed the Jakarta Metropolitan Police to uncover the case of the mysterious death of a man named Sutrimo in front of a beauty clinic in South Jakarta. Sahroni assessed that the Jakarta Metropolitan Police possesses the expertise to investigate suspicious deaths.

‘The Jakarta Metropolitan Police are experts in uncovering mysterious death cases,’ Sahroni told reporters on Wednesday (29/7/2026).

He urged the public to be patient while waiting for the results of the investigation being conducted by the police. He hopes the results can be officially released to the public soon.

‘We await the results of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police investigation. Hopefully, it can be conveyed to the public as soon as possible,’ he continued.

Previously, law enforcement officials were still investigating the exact cause of Sutrimo’s death in front of the beauty clinic. To date, the exact cause of the victim’s death remains unknown.

Police have also returned to process the crime scene at the clinic located on Jalan Kramat Pela RT 11 RW 11, Pulo Urban Village, Kebayoran Baru District, South Jakarta.

The Directorate of General Criminal Investigation of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police, together with the South Jakarta Metropolitan Police, has deployed a team to investigate this case to map out the sequence of events and uncover the cause of the victim’s death.

Based on circulating information, the victim was first found with foam at the mouth. The victim is reportedly the Head of Household for former Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes, Febrie Adriansyah. However, the police are still verifying the victim’s identity and background.
