Jakarta — The Commission XI of the Indonesian House of Representatives will conduct fitness and propriety assessments (fit and proper test) for 10 candidates for positions on the OJK Commissioner Board on Wednesday, 11 March 2026.

Mukhamad Misbakhun, Chair of Commission XI, stated that the fit and proper test will be held throughout a single day from 10.00 to 16.00 WIB. The results will be decided on the same day.

“Our tradition has never been to delay matters. Once the fit and proper test is completed, we make our decision that same day,” Misbakhun said at the House of Representatives building in Jakarta on Tuesday, 10 March 2026.

Given the prevailing global uncertainty, the government must urgently determine who will occupy these important positions at the OJK. “We must provide market certainty on matters that require swift decisions, and we must decide them swiftly,” he added.

The 10 fit and proper test participants will compete for five OJK leadership positions: Chair of the Commissioner Board, Deputy Chair of the Commissioner Board, Head of Capital Market Execution, Head of Digital Assets Execution, and Head of Consumer Protection Execution, each for a five-year term.

This follows the resignations of four OJK officials on 30 January: OJK Commissioner Board Chair Mahendra Siregar, Deputy Chair Mirza Adityaswara, Head of Capital Market, Derivative Finance, and Carbon Trading Supervision Inarno Djajadi, and Deputy Commissioner I. B. Aditya Jayaantara.

The resignations came after the Indonesian Composite Index (IHSG) experienced sharp declines on 28-29 January 2026 following announcements by Morgan Stanley Capital International (MSCI).
