Jakarta (ANTARA) - Commission XI of the DPR RI and the Government have agreed to bring the Bill on the Indonesian International Financial Centre (Pusat Finansial Internasional Indonesia, PFII) forward for further processing to be enacted into law through Second-Level Deliberation, or a Plenary Session, on Tuesday (21/7).

The decision was taken at the PFII Bill Decision-Making Meeting on Monday, after the Working Committee (Panja) held a series of working meetings with various parties since the beginning of July.

“We hope that what we have decided today will be approved at the DPR RI Plenary Session during the second-level deliberation and passed into law,” said Mukhamad Misbakhun, Chair of Commission XI of the DPR RI, at the DPR RI building in Jakarta on Monday.

During the Panja report session, Mohamad Hekal, Chair of the PFII Bill Working Committee, explained that Commission XI of the DPR RI together with the government officially began deliberating the PFII bill on 2 July 2026.

Hekal said the drafting team and the synchronisation team carried out their work in accordance with the Panja’s assignment on 17–19 July 2026 and reported the results of their work at the Panja meeting on 19 July 2026.

The Panja meeting then refined the drafting and synchronisation results on 19 July, continuing on the morning of 20 July.

Regarding the government’s PFII bill, which comprises seven chapters and 53 articles, the Panja conducted its deliberation through the compilation of problem inventory lists (DIM) from the factions, totalling 503 DIMs — 367 concerning the main body of the bill and 136 concerning the explanatory notes.
