House Commission III Urges Police to Name Hanania Travel Commissioner a Suspect
The Chairman of Commission III of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI), Habiburokhman, has suggested that the police designate the Commissioner of Hanania Travel, who is the wife of suspect ASF (30), as a suspect. He stated that the police need to consider this to prevent efforts to eliminate evidence. Accordingly, he assessed that the suspect’s wife also deserves to be held accountable. “If the commissioner, moreover the wife of Farhan (the suspect), is involved, she is very worthy of being named a suspect. Please reconsider this,” Habiburokhman said during a hearing with victims of the Hanania Travel fraud case at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, quoted on Friday, 19 June 2026. Habiburokhman assessed that the role of the suspect’s wife, who has not yet been named a suspect or detained, is suspected to be highly vulnerable to communicating and eliminating documents related to the case. However, he stressed that Commission III of the DPR RI does not intend to intervene in the case. Meanwhile, the Director of General Criminal Investigation at Polda Metro Jaya, Senior Commissioner Iman Imanudin, said his party is still applying witness status to the suspect’s wife in order to trace the suspect’s assets. Nevertheless, he did not reject the suggestion conveyed by Habiburokhman. “This is also part of our effort to trace the suspect’s assets through the individual concerned,” Iman said.
