House Commission III to Form Supervisory Team Following Jampidsus Resignation

The House of Representatives’ Commission III will form a supervisory team to ensure that the handling of corruption cases continues smoothly following the resignation of Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) Febrie Adriansyah. Commission III Chairman Habiburokhman stated that the team is intended to prevent the case from stalling and to maintain coordination between the Attorney General’s Office and the National Police. “Commission III will optimise its oversight function to ensure that the handling of this case continues and that coordination between the Attorney General’s Office and the National Police is maintained,” Habiburokhman said in a written statement on Saturday. He added that the resignation should serve as a catalyst for the Adhyaksa Corps to complete investigations transparently and without interference. The Head of the Attorney General’s Office Legal Information Centre, Anang Supriatna, explained that Febrie’s decision was a commitment to maintaining integrity, objectivity, and legal neutrality. Meanwhile, the National Police confirmed that investigators have not yet named any suspects in the investigation into alleged corruption, bribery, gratuities, and money laundering. During searches at 12 locations, including Febrie’s Sentul residence, police seized 74 kilograms of gold bullion, Rp100 million in cash, and foreign currency.
