Several cases in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) have come under scrutiny from the House of Representatives’ Commission III. One of them is the extortion case involving three prosecutors against Imran, the Sub-District Head of Pajo in Dompu Regency.

Commission III member Aboe Bakar Al-Habsyi stated that the alleged ethical violations within the prosecutor’s office have drawn attention. “We request that the alleged extortion by rogue prosecutors in Dompu be investigated transparently,” said Aboe Bakar at the NTB High Prosecutor’s Office on Wednesday (22/4/2026).

The Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) politician called for improvements in the prosecutor’s internal supervision. “Public trust must be maintained, and internal supervision must also be enhanced,” he revealed.

The Head of the NTB High Prosecutor’s Office, Wahyudi, said the alleged extortion case is still being processed in the Supervision Division of the NTB High Prosecutor’s Office. “It is currently under process in Supervision. We are escalating it to a case inspection,” he added.

Wahyudi was brief in commenting on the case. He only confirmed that the case is ongoing and that several individuals have been examined, including Sub-District Head of Pajo, Imran.

“It has (Sub-District Head of Pajo has been examined). That’s it for now,” he said.

Previously, Sub-District Head of Pajo, Imran, admitted to being extorted by three prosecutors at the Dompu District Prosecutor’s Office. This admission was made by Imran when he was escorted to the Class IIB Dompu Penitentiary by prosecutors on Monday (30/3/2026) afternoon. Imran was a convict in an assault case against a resident.

Imran named the three prosecutors allegedly involved in the extortion: former Intelligence Section Head with initials J, former General Criminal Section Head with initials K, and former Special Criminal Section Head with initials IS. All three rogue prosecutors have since been transferred. They are suspected of extorting Imran while stationed at the Dompu District Prosecutor’s Office.

Imran revealed that during the legal proceedings for the assault case against a resident handled by the Dompu District Prosecutor’s Office, he was asked for Rp 30 million by IS. The money was handed directly to IS, K, and J at the Dompu District Prosecutor’s Office.

“I had no initiative to give money to the prosecutor’s office, but Ms IS was the one who called us to hand over Rp 30 million in this room,” Imran disclosed moments before being escorted to Dompu Penitentiary.
