House Commission III Meets with Experts, Seeks Input on Asset Forfeiture Bill
House Commission III held a meeting with several academics. The commission will seek input regarding the Asset Forfeiture Bill.
The meeting took place in the Commission III House of Representatives meeting room, Nusantara II, Jakarta, on Monday (30/3/2026). The meeting was directly chaired by Habiburokhman, Chairman of Commission III of the House of Representatives.
“We are conducting conceptual enrichment in preparation for the formation of the Asset Forfeiture Law. According to the report, the quorum for the factions has been met,” said Habiburokhman at the start of the meeting.
He invited the attending experts to provide input on the Asset Forfeiture Bill. Subsequently, the attending members of Commission III of the House of Representatives responded.
“Later, perhaps Prof. Bayu a little before Mr. Maradona (Vice Dean of FH Unair), and Mr. Hibnu Nugroho (Professor of Criminal Law at Unsoed), perhaps a maximum of 10 minutes, just updates on the drafting of the bill, we will accommodate insights from Prof. Hibnu and Mr. Maradona. After that, colleagues if there is anything to convey,” said Habiburokhman.
The meeting is currently ongoing. Prof. Hibnu Nugroho is delivering his presentation.
