House Commission III Holds Hearing on Controversy Surrounding Videographer Amsal Sitepu Case

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – Commission III of the House of Representatives held a Public Hearing (RDPU) regarding the case of videographer Amsal Christy Sitepu, who is accused of corruption in the budget for a village profile video project, at the parliamentary complex in Senayan, Jakarta, on Monday (30/3/2026).

Commission III of the House of Representatives stated that, substantively, the creative work of videographers does not have a fixed price, so it cannot be said that there was inflation or mark-up from a standard price, and called on the Panel of Judges to consider a verdict of acquittal or at least a light sentence based on the facts of the trial.
