House Commission III Forms Working Committee to Oversee Case of Former Jampidsus

The Chairman of House Commission III, Habiburokhman, along with all factions within the commission, have agreed to form a working committee to oversee the handling of the corruption case involving former Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus), Febrie Adriansyah. The decision was made during a special meeting convened by Habiburokhman at the Commission III meeting room in the House of Representatives complex, Senayan, Central Jakarta, on Saturday. “House Commission III is fully committed to seeing this case through to its conclusion with legal certainty by forming a supervisory team or a working committee,” Habiburokhman stated. He explained that the committee’s task will be to supervise the entire corruption handling process, from examinations and searches to the naming of other suspects in the case. Through this oversight, it is hoped that law enforcement’s work in handling Febrie’s case will be more optimal and transparent. Habiburokhman also assured that the working committee will operate transparently and openly to the public to maintain public trust in its performance. “House Commission III remains committed to ensuring its oversight function runs optimally so that inter-institutional cooperation remains solid and on the right track,” Habiburokhman asserted. Previously, Attorney General Sanitiar Burhanuddin received a letter of resignation from Febrie Adriansyah from his position as Jampidsus. The Head of the Attorney General’s Office Legal Information Centre, Anang Supriatna, stated that the resignation was a form of commitment to maintaining the integrity, objectivity, and neutrality of law enforcement and was related to a legal process being handled by National Police investigators. Anang emphasised that the Attorney General’s Office respects the decision and ensures that all duties and case handling within the Jampidsus division will continue according to established mechanisms.
