House Commission III Confident Acting Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes Will Go All Out: 'Your Task Is Heavy'

Chairman of House Commission III, Habiburokhman, has advised the Acting Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) at the Attorney General’s Office, Rudi Margono, to maintain his integrity. Habiburokhman stated that the task of the Jampidsus is heavy, but Commission III will provide its support. “It was conveyed earlier to the Acting Jampidsus, Mr Rudi Margono. Your task is heavy, but we fully support you,” Habiburokhman said at the Senayan complex, Jakarta, on Saturday (11/7/2026). Habiburokhman believes Rudi is a figure of integrity with a good track record. He is confident Rudi will work all out. “We love the Prosecutor’s Office, we love your institution, we love the Attorney General’s Office. Do not let it be tarnished by the behaviour of individuals. I think he is a person of integrity, he has a very good track record and we are confident he will go all out,” he said. For context, Rudi Margono was appointed by Attorney General ST Burhanuddin as the Acting Jampidsus, replacing Febrie Adriansyah. Febrie has been named a suspect in connection with three alleged corruption cases, namely coal corruption, ASABRI, and Krakatau Steel (KS). The Head of Public Relations for the Metro Jaya Regional Police, Senior Commissioner Budi Hermanto, previously emphasised that the investigation into the alleged corruption cases of coal, ASABRI, and Krakatau Steel is receiving the attention of President Prabowo. “This is the President’s attention, that allegations of corruption are a concern for the police to carry out disclosures and investigations. This series of searches is part of the investigation process to find and collect evidence,” Budi Hermanto said following a search at Cafe de’Clan, Cipete, South Jakarta, on Wednesday (8/7). Budi stated the searches were part of uncovering the alleged coal corruption that triggered a blackout in Sumatra some time ago, as well as the ASABRI and Krakatau Steel cases. The corruption cases under investigation include bribery, gratuities, and money laundering.
