House Commission III Accelerates Drafting of Asset Forfeiture Bill, Seeks Public Input
Chairman of Commission III of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI), Habiburokhman, stated that his party is accelerating the drafting process of the Asset Forfeiture Bill to mature the substance of the regulation. He said that the commission is actively working on the draft while opening the widest possible space for public input.
“This Asset Forfeiture Bill will currently be accelerated in terms of law formation, starting from its drafting. So, we are now drafting the bill and requesting as much input as possible from the public,” Habiburokhman said during a Public Hearing at Commission III of the DPR RI on Monday (3/8/2026).
Habiburokhman explained that Commission III is utilising the recess period to directly gather public aspirations in several regions across Indonesia. He detailed that the commission has conducted working visits to three provinces to hear input from stakeholders and local communities regarding the Asset Forfeiture Bill.
“During this recess, we visited three regions: North Kalimantan, North Maluku, and Central Papua. We absorbed aspirations from the community regarding this Asset Forfeiture Bill,” he explained.
