Hotman Paris Praises Prabowo's Firmness in Febrie Adriansyah Case
Prominent lawyer Hotman Paris Hutapea has praised the uncovering of three corruption cases previously handled by the Corruption Eradication Task Force (Kortas Tipikor) of the National Police and the Metro Jaya Regional Police. Hotman suggested that such a large-scale police operation would have been impossible without the blessing of President Prabowo Subianto.
“First of all, Hotman Paris congratulates the President on his firmness in the case involving the Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes. Because it is impossible for the police to carry out such a large-scale operation without the President’s blessing, and it ultimately yielded significant results,” Hotman said in a statement shared on Sunday (12/7/2026).
Hotman stated that it was Prabowo who opened the public’s eyes to the severity of corruption in the country. He praised the leadership style of the Prabowo administration.
“Bravo, bravo, great job Mr. Prabowo. This was never done by previous presidents. It is Mr. Prabowo who has opened our eyes to how severe the state of our country is, the state losses, and the losses of hundreds of state-owned enterprises (BUMN) and regional-owned enterprises (BUMD). It is Mr. Prabowo who succeeded in uncovering it,” Hotman remarked.
“Indeed, as a human being, there must be shortcomings, but the benefits of Mr. Prabowo’s leadership style are far greater compared to previous presidents,” he added.
He also touched on the President’s blessing to uncover the case that dragged in the name of former Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) Febrie Adriansyah. Hotman appreciated the police raids on the suspect’s assets across more than a dozen locations.
“Once again, without the blessing of President Prabowo, it is impossible, impossible for the police to raid the assets of the Jampidsus at, what was it, 11 to 12 locations,” he said.
Hotman then offered prayers for President Prabowo. He expressed hope that Indonesia would become a prosperous nation under Prabowo’s leadership.
“That requires firmness, and it turned out to be successful. Once again, long live Mr. Prabowo, hopefully this country will become more prosperous under your leadership. Greetings from your former lawyer, Hotman Paris,” he concluded.
Previously, the Chairman of Commission III of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Habiburokhman, revealed President Prabowo Subianto’s message regarding the alleged corruption case involving Febrie Adriansyah. Prabowo wants all law enforcement officials to remain solid and work to their maximum capacity.
“The point is, Mr. Prabowo certainly wants law enforcement to be solid, all out. And earlier we even committed to being solid. I brought together Kortas and Jampidsus, God willing, they are solid,” said Habiburokhman at the Senayan complex, Jakarta, on Saturday (11/7/2026).
