Hotman Paris Officially Appointed as Legal Counsel for Former Jampidsus Febrie Adriansyah

Senior lawyer Hotman Paris Hutapea visited the Attorney General’s Office on Friday morning to submit an official power of attorney, confirming his appointment as legal counsel for former Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes, Febrie Adriansyah. ‘Yes, I am officially Febrie’s legal counsel. The power of attorney was submitted this morning,’ Hotman stated. He added that he would also accompany Febrie Adriansyah during his examination today. The Attorney General’s Office has issued three new investigation warrants related to alleged corruption and money laundering cases implicating Febrie Adriansyah. The Head of the Attorney General’s Legal Information Centre, Anang Supriatna, explained that the issuance of the new warrants is a follow-up to the transfer of case files previously handled by the Indonesian National Police. The three major case clusters now ensnaring the former Jampidsus include alleged corruption and money laundering at PT Krakatau Steel, a coal procurement case for a PLN steam power plant that previously caused a mass blackout, and corruption and money laundering related to financial management at PT ASABRI.
