Hotels ready for Christmas, New Year

In preparation for the upcoming Christmas and New Year
celebrations, star-rated hotels in the city are busy preparing
special programs to attract more visitors.

Five-star Melia Purosani on Jl. Suryotomo, for example, is
offering a series of programs to celebrate Christmas at the
hotel. They include Christmas Goodies (Dec. 20 to Dec. 27),
Children's Christmas Choir (Dec. 24 at 6.30 p.m. through 8.30
p.m.), Christmas Eve Buffet Dinner (Dec. 24), Christmas's Eve Set
Menu Dinner (Dec. 24), Christmas Candle Light Buffet Dinner (Dec.
25), and Christmas Set Menu Dinner (Dec. 25).

Similar attractions are also on offer at other star-rated
hotels here, including Grand Mercure, Santika and Novotel, all on
Jl. Sudirman, and Jogjakarta Plaza hotel on Gejayan, both for
Christmas and New Year.

Special packages are on offer, too, for those who want to
spend the holidays here. Mercure, for example, is offering a
package of Rp 1,050,000 net per room per night with a gala dinner
presented in the style of Old Jogja, or Jogja Tempo Doeloe as it
is popularly called.

Jogjakarta Plaza, similarly, is offering a New Year Package
for Rp 975,000 net per room per night for double occupancy. The
package will also include a free invitation for the hotel's
Pokok'e Jogja party to celebrate New Year. -- JP
