Hotels host Formula One fun

YOGYAKARTA: For Formula One fans, some star-rated hotels in the
city have arranged special events, including screening the big
race in their bars.

The Hyatt Regency Yogyakarta on Jl. Palagan Tentara Pelajar,
for example, offers a special program at its Bogey's Teras on
Mar. 5, Mar. 6 and Mar. 20.

Grand Mercure Jogjakarta hotel's Vino Bar on Jl. Sudirman is
cooperating with Tri Jaya FM radio station: "Our program is
available from Mar.6 to Oct. 16, during which we will also offer
interesting games and band performances," the hotel's executive
secretary Wiwied said.

Besides providing free drinks for the first 15 people to turn
up, 10 vouchers for accommodation in the hotel's superior and
suite rooms are up for grabs as door prizes.

"We have prepared a great menu of drinks and nibbles so that
patrons can keep their eyes on the race without having to worry
about their stomachs," the hotel's food and beverages manager,
Subakir, said. --JP
