Hotels gear up for St. Valentine

YOGYAKARTA: February is upon us. Many consider this the month of
love. And to participate in the amorous time, star-rated hotels
here are offering various packages to celebrate the popular
Valentine's Day.

Five-star Melia Purosani Hotel, for example, is offering a
Valentine's Package for Rp 980,000 net per room per night for the
whole month of February. According to Melia Purosani's Public
Relations Manager Atik Damarjadi, the package will include a stay
in a Superior Deluxe Room, breakfast served in the room, set
dinner or lunch for two, and a spa treatment for two.

"We also offer a Romantic Set Menu Dinner for Rp
145,000++ per person including a glass of champagne at
El Patio Restaurant and a Love Is All Around Party at
Pub Med with no cover charge," Atik said.

Four-star Novotel Yogyakarta Hotel similarly offers
Valentine's Weekend Package for Rp 999,999 net per room for a
two-night stay on Feb. 13 and Feb.14, 2004 or Feb. 14 and Feb.15.

The package also includes a voucher for a night's stay at
the hotel including free breakfast.

Novotel's Assistant Public Relations Manager Dyah Retno
Wikan said, the hotel was also offering romantic set
menu dinners on Feb. 14, 2004 at 6.30 p.m. to 10
p.m. at its Kayu Api Restaurant for Rp 299,999 for
two.

Offering a wide range of international menus, she said,
the dinner package would also include a glass of Rose
wine and a souvenir.

A similar dinner package is also on offer at the five-star
Sheraton Mustika Yogyakarta Hotel. The hotel's public relations
manager Bambang W.S., said it would cost Rp 99,000++ per person
with a set menu Valentine's Dinner package that has
three options for special set menus and a glass of
champagne.

"If you like, you can also have your romantic dinner
in our Sasono Suko Lounge while listening to live
jazz music," Bambang said. -- JP
