Hotel Sultan Jakarta Central Plot Eviction Set for 18 June 2026, Date Finalised

JAKARTA - The Central Jakarta District Court has set 18 June 2026 as the date for the eviction of Block 15 in the Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) area, commonly known as Hotel Sultan.

Kharis Sucipto, legal counsel for the Minister of State Secretariat and the Gelora Bung Karno Complex Management Centre (PPKGBK), stated the eviction date is final. ‘This is a conclusive ruling. The court has set 18 June 2026 as the eviction date for Block 15 GBK,’ he said in a written statement dated Tuesday, 26 May 2026.

A notice of eviction execution dated 19 May 2026 has been sent to PT Indobuildco via registered mail. Kharis noted the one-month period should allow PT Indobuildco to vacate the site voluntarily. ‘We hope Indobuildco will comply without forced eviction,’ he added.

The court also urged all occupants or those with rights from Indobuildco to vacate the property voluntarily. Kharis emphasised the 18 June date marks the conclusion of the lengthy legal battle to reclaim the national asset. ‘The legal process for safeguarding state assets has reached its end. The state has pursued all legal channels, the court has ruled, and now only execution remains,’ he said.

‘There are no further legal grounds to delay the return of this national asset,’ he added. Kharis stated the return of Block 15 GBK is a critical opportunity to ensure state assets are managed professionally, transparently, and for the benefit of the nation.
