Deputy Minister of State Secretariat (Wamensesneg) Bambang Eko Suhariyanto has revealed President Prabowo Subianto’s directive regarding the execution of Hotel Sultan. He stated that Prabowo has called for the reclamation of state-owned assets. “On several occasions, President Prabowo has conveyed that we must reclaim government assets, state assets that have been controlled by other parties,” Bambang said during the execution of the Blok 15 Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) Hotel Sultan area on Thursday (18/6/2026). He argued that the execution is based on a ruling that Blok 15 is a state asset which was acquired by the government around 1959. Therefore, he believes the asset must be brought under government control. “We must then restore all such assets to be under our own control, the government and the state,” he stressed. The Central Jakarta District Court (PN Jakarta Pusat) commenced the execution of the Hotel Sultan land today. The execution ruling was read out by PN Jakpus registrar Azhar. The ruling referenced the decree of the Chief Judge of the Central Jakarta District Court 1/PDT.EKS/2026/PN.Jkt.Pst. in conjunction with Number 208/Pdt.G/2025/PN.Jkt.Pst. In the document, the Central Jakarta District Court opined that the execution applicants’ request for eviction execution had met the requirements, did not contravene the law, and could be granted. Azhar noted this was in consideration of the provisions of Article 195 HIR in conjunction with Article 1033 Rv, as well as other related legal provisions. “Adjudicating: One, granting the above Applicants’ request. Two, ordering the Registrar of the Central Jakarta District Court, or should they be unable, to appoint a competent bailiff accompanied by two witnesses and, if necessary, with the assistance of the Indonesian National Police or other instruments of state power,” Azhar stated. Azhar ordered that Hotel Sultan be vacated. He demanded the land be returned to the plaintiff, namely the State Secretariat. “To carry out the eviction execution and return to the Counterclaim Plaintiffs the plot of land formerly HGB 26/Gelora and formerly HGB 27/Gelora along with the buildings and everything attached thereto. Three, to determine the costs arising from this ruling according to law,” he concluded.
