Hotel Sultan Eviction Execution Underway, Avoid These Roads!

The Gelora Bung Karno Complex Management Centre (PPKGBK) will execute the eviction of Hotel Sultan today, Thursday (18/6/2026). Several locations within the Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) complex in Senayan, Jakarta, have been temporarily closed. According to information from PPKGBK, the temporary closure of the GBK area applies to Gate 5, Gate 7, and Gate 8 (Block 15 of the GBK Complex) from 00.00 to 24.00 WIB. The same applies to the East Parking area, City Forest, Softball Stadium, and KTT Road up to the JICC during the same period. Potential traffic congestion around GBK is likely to occur on Jalan Asia Afrika, Jalan Pintu Satu Senayan, Jalan Gatot Subroto, and Jalan Sudirman. Motorists are requested to seek alternative routes. ‘We apologise for the potential traffic congestion that may occur around the GBK Complex. We urge #GBKPeople to manage their travel time, use public transport, and choose alternative routes to ensure a comfortable and smooth journey,’ PPKGBK wrote on its Instagram account @love_GBK. PPKGBK had previously prepared a team to carry out the Hotel Sultan eviction. Technical preparations were led by the Head of the GBK Block 15 Transition Team, Hendry Arisandi, on Monday (15/6/2026). A total of 300 joint personnel were deployed for the operation. The personnel involved came from PPKGBK, the Ministry of State Secretariat, the legal counsel team, and the Public Appraiser Service Office (KJPP). In addition, several related agencies such as PLN and Telkom were also involved to support the smooth running of the process on the ground. During the briefing, personnel received instruction on procedures for asset recording, documentation, and securing goods during the execution. Hendry stated that recording and documentation aspects were the main focus to ensure the execution process is orderly, safe, and in accordance with legal provisions. ‘PPKGBK is being very careful in this process. We want to ensure that all items on site are properly recorded and documented. In accordance with the court decision, items not attached to the land and buildings remain the property of the previous manager, PT Indobuildco,’ said Hendry. According to Hendry, the preparatory steps were taken because PT Indobuildco had previously been asked to vacate the execution object. However, to date, his party has not seen any evacuation steps from the previous manager. Therefore, PPKGBK prepared a mechanism in case items belonging to PT Indobuildco are still found in the GBK Block 15 area during the execution. All such items will later be recorded, documented, moved, and stored neatly. ‘Our principle is clear, this execution is the implementation of a court order. But at the same time, we still safeguard the rights to the property of the previous manager. Indobuildco is given up to six months to collect their items, which will be stored and recorded properly by PPKGBK,’ he said. He stressed that all personnel involved are required to work professionally and not take actions outside the established procedures. PPKGBK hopes the execution of GBK Block 15 on Thursday will proceed smoothly, orderly, safely, and without causing losses to any party.
