Hotel Sultan Emptied: Beds, TVs, and Gamelan Instruments Loaded onto Trucks
The emptying of Hotel Sultan and the Sultan Apartments in Central Jakarta has begun. Workers were observed packing and transporting items from the hotel onto trucks.
Monitoring the hotel lobby on Wednesday (24/6/2026), various goods had already been packed. These included beds, chairs, televisions, and even musical instruments such as gamelan.
The items appeared to be wrapped in plastic and labelled. Workers then carried them one by one into a container parked in front of the hotel.
In addition to the hotel contents, items from the apartments have also been packed. PPKGBK’s legal representative, Kharis Sucipto, stated that the goods from Hotel Sultan and the apartments will be stored in a warehouse at the Cikarang G2C Warehouse Complex, Block CF Number 2, Pasiranji Village, and a warehouse in the MM2100 Industrial Estate, Jalan Selayar 2 Block 1/5, Cikedoka Village.
‘So, as of today, in accordance with the execution report and the goods handover report from the Central Jakarta District Court, the process as of today, 24 June 2026, is ongoing, namely the relocation of goods to the designated warehouses,’ said Kharis.
Kharis expressed hope that the contents of the Hotel Sultan building can be emptied promptly. His team is targeting the complete clearance within one month.
‘It is hoped that the entire emptying process of the former Hotel Sultan can be completed within the next one month,’ he said.
