Hotel Sultan Emptied, Assets Moved to Cikarang Warehouse
The Gelora Bung Karno Complex Management Centre (PPKGBK) began moving movable goods or assets belonging to the former Hotel Sultan operator, PT Indobuildco, yesterday, Tuesday 24 June. CNNIndonesia.com observed workers at the site moving the items one by one into transport vehicles. The goods will be taken to a storage warehouse in Cikarang, Bekasi Regency, West Java. The activity is targeted for completion within one month or 30 days from its commencement on Saturday, 20 June 2026. The asset removal is part of the follow-up to the eviction execution of Hotel Sultan, which occupies the Block 15 land within the Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) complex. The entire eviction process is being carried out in stages while paying attention to administrative aspects and the security of the goods. This activity involves a special team from the Ministry of State Secretariat (Kemensetneg) together with PPKGBK. Both parties are cooperating to ensure all goods in the former Hotel Sultan area can be moved in an orderly manner and according to procedure. Prior to the transport process, all inventory items first undergo a thorough data collection stage. This step aims to ensure every asset inside the building is properly recorded and its whereabouts can be traced. In addition to data collection, the goods are also packed and labelled one by one by an appointed mover or vendor. Labelling is carried out to facilitate identification and avoid potential errors during the moving process. After the data collection and labelling process is complete, the goods are then transported in stages to the storage warehouse in Cikarang. This stage is carried out systematically so that the condition of the assets is maintained until arrival at the destination. The government hopes the process of moving all former Hotel Sultan assets can proceed smoothly according to the established schedule. With structured documentation and management, all inventory items are expected to remain well-recorded during the storage period and for subsequent management needs. Previously, 102 former Hotel Sultan workers reported themselves to the Block 15 Gelora Bung Karno Service Post on the first day of the post’s reopening, Monday (22/6). The data collection took place from 11.00 to 19.00 WIB. Of the 102 reports received, 59 people were recorded as daily workers, 18 as temporary workers, and two as freelancers. Additionally, two permanent employees and 21 contract employees reported themselves. Chairman of the Block 15 GBK Transition Team, Hendry Arisandi, expressed appreciation to the former Hotel Sultan workers who came forward and were willing to provide data regarding their employment relationship status to PPKGBK.
