Hotel Rooms for Second Wave of Indonesian Hajj Pilgrims in Madinah Now Assigned by Name
Entering the second day of the second wave of Indonesian Hajj pilgrims arriving from Makkah, Hajj officers in each sector are better prepared to welcome the pilgrims in Madinah. Head of Sector 1 in the Madinah working area, Ramlan Sudarto, said that drawing on the experience with the first wave of Indonesian pilgrims, his team is better able to handle the arrival of pilgrims in this second wave. “Alhamdulillah, we have now grasped the work pattern and system. So as soon as the pilgrims arrive from Makkah and disembark from the bus, we immediately direct them to their respective rooms,” Ramlan Sudarto told the Hajj Media Centre in Madinah on Monday (8/6/2026). Ramlan explained that, unlike the arrival of the first wave of Indonesian pilgrims, for this second wave, the hotel rooms in Sector 1 have already had the pilgrims’ names affixed to them. “The rooms are now assigned by name, so there is no more mix-up. So there is no such thing as not getting a room and not getting a bed,” said the man familiarly called Ramlan. Ramlan stressed that in this second wave, Indonesian pilgrims no longer need to worry about room allocation because his team is managing the distribution by placing names on each pilgrim’s room door in the Sector 1 hotel. “We are the ones managing it in accordance with the Deputy Minister of Hajj’s directive; it is us who manage it, not the KBIHU,” Ramlan asserted amidst the arrival of the second wave of Indonesian pilgrims from the Yogyakarta embarkation and batch YIA 12, and Medan or KNO 14. Ramlan revealed that his team will work even better during this second wave, and the Saudi Arabia Hajj Organising Committee (PPIH) officers are ready to improve the services needed by the pilgrims. “We will further improve any service that the pilgrims complain about; we will respond to it promptly,” said the Head of Sector 1 of the Madinah working area, Ramlan Sudarto.
