BOGOR (JP): A fire gutted Sempur Kencana Hotel in Bogor's
Sempur district Sunday night, but no casualties were reported.

The local fire department estimated yesterday the fire had
caused about Rp 300 million (US$113,207) damage.

The fire, which started at 9:30 p.m., was extinguished at
11:30 p.m. by seven fire engines, Antara reported.

There were only 30 guests in the hotel at the time of the fire
and they fled in panic when they realized the building was on
fire.

The hotel's owner, A. Siswa, said the fire was believed to
have been caused by a short circuit.
