Hotel Grand Diamond Explores Internship Cooperation with UBSI Yogyakarta Campus
Universitas Bina Sarana Informatika (UBSI) Yogyakarta, a creative digital campus, is exploring a collaborative partnership with Hotel Grand Diamond Yogyakarta for a student internship programme. The meeting, held at the UBSI Yogyakarta campus in Sleman on Wednesday (8/4/2026), aims to provide students with opportunities to develop professional skills and gain direct experience within the hospitality industry.
The exploration of this cooperation was attended by representatives from both parties. Hotel Grand Diamond Yogyakarta was represented by Elia Cristina, HR Manager, while UBSI Yogyakarta was represented by Erlangga Brahmanto, Coordinator of the BSI Career Center (BCC) at UBSI Yogyakarta. The meeting discussed various technical aspects of the programme’s implementation and the mutual benefits for both students and the hotel.
Ms Cristina expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, “This internship programme is a concrete step in supporting human resource development within the hospitality industry, particularly in facing increasingly competitive global labour markets.”
Meanwhile, Mr Brahmanto emphasised the importance of practical experience for students. “This cooperation provides students with the opportunity to gain direct field experience, thereby enriching their knowledge and skills for the professional world,” he said. He explained that the partnership is designed to enhance student competence through internships at Hotel Grand Diamond Yogyakarta, with the goal of producing industry-ready graduates.
He added that UBSI remains committed to facilitating student competency and job readiness through various collaborative programmes. Through this partnership, both parties hope to create synergy between the worlds of education and industry.
