JAKARTA (JP): A hotel, tourism and food trade fair starts
today to display the latest developments in those industries.

The four-day 1997 Indonesian Hotel and Food trade fair at the
Jakarta Fair Grounds in Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, has 400
participants and is expected to attract 15,000 visitors.

Fair organizer PT Pamerindo Buana Abadi said attractions
included a competition between hundreds of Indonesian chefs with
a jury from international institutions.

The fair will be closed to the public but be open to hoteliers
and business people from the food and tourism sectors. (pwn)
